Agile Online Breakfast: June 11, 2021
One of the most essential components of any agile transformation is the implementation of the continuous improvement process. Kaizen, which means "change for the better" in Japanese, perfectly captures the essence of the process. Only through positive change can improvement be achieved. Within a team, this can be implemented, for example, through regular retrospectives. But how do you embed Kaizen so deeply within an entire organization that it becomes part of the company's DNA?
Trudi Isler, René Wettler, and Vinzenz Vetsch will present a case study from ZKB (Zurich Cantonal Bank) illustrating how they successfully integrated retrospectives into the bank 's internal service offerings, making them a natural part of its services. Retrospectives are no longer limited to traditional Scrum teams within IT. They are now used in many areas of the bank, across various organizational units, projects, and hierarchical levels. While the continuous improvement process hasn't yet reached all areas of the bank, progress is well underway, and interest is growing as the added value is recognized. The Agile Breakfast will also address challenges and difficulties, as well as the further development of the Community of Practice. Finally, the three speakers will be available for questions and an open discussion.
