Community Day Process Automation - Infometis at work!
We had been eagerly anticipating the next Community Day for a long time, and on Wednesday it finally arrived! Our Infometis team members Eveline, Beni, Matthias and Gaby met at the Infometis office to work together on a task related to process automation.
Shortly after 8:30 and after a first coffee, the secret about the task was revealed: Automation of an accounts payable process!
Our four musketeers first examined the customer's textual requirements and discussed the described process flow. Then they set about breaking down the requirements into digestible user stories.
The collected user stories were then bundled into an MVP that could be implemented in one day.
Before noon, we decided to attempt a first implementation of the MVP using Jira. Following the motto "All for one, one for all," the plan was for each of us four to take turns being the mouse master and configuring our concepts.
Since Eveline refused to relinquish control of the mouse after lunch, the rest of us contented ourselves with smiling nicely at the camera.
Joking aside ;) . Since Eveline is very familiar with Jira and we absolutely wanted to have a proof of concept finished by the end of the day, we voluntarily left the configuration in Jira to her.
At the end of the day, we had actually implemented our MVP and successfully tested it!
You'll know if you're standing in the right place when the light comes on: Due to the complexity of the approval process and the many different roles, we concluded that Jira Service Management would be better suited for a complete implementation, but much can already be achieved with the out-of-the-box functions of Jira Software.
What an informative day with many interesting, lively, and exciting discussions! We're already looking forward to the next Community Day!
