Quality at the speed of innovation

Tricentis defines three different test levels: Functional, Conformance (Performance, Compliance & Security Requirements), and Experience. An application may function, but the user may still be dissatisfied with it.
Approximately 17% of the population has a visual impairment. Applications that accessibility have a competitive advantage. In the public sector, some countries have regulations that must be followed (e.g., Section 508). Tricentis has tools in its development pipeline that support this type of testing.
How Cloud ALM and Tricentis help to improve the world of SAP customers

SAP offers its entire product portfolio in the cloud. Test automation can also be performed in the cloud (Tricentis Test Automation, also known as "Cloud Tosca").
- The collaboration between SAP and Tricentis has intensified. SAP now refers to itself as "married" to Tricentis.
- Tricentis LiveCompare can provide support, especially for migration projects (SAP migration to the cloud) (more on this below in the blog).
Panel discussion: De-risking and maximizing the impact of SAP transformations

Vodafone, as a large, international corporation, relies on LiveCompare. The solution has become indispensable for them. Vodafone claims that they have experienced 90% fewer production problems since using LiveCompare.
- The participants were asked what quality meant to them: One participant said: "Quality is like insurance; you can't live without it and you have to pay for it continuously, otherwise you'll be in for a nasty surprise." And the other said: "Quality is more than insurance. You can live without insurance, but not without quality."
Modernizing quality engineering with latest AI advancements

- What is the average human attention span? 8.25 seconds
- What is the average attention span of a goldfish? 9 seconds
- What percentage of teenagers forget important things? 25 %
- On average, how many times per hour do we check emails? 11 times
- How often on average do we look at our phones per week? 1500 times
- Different levels of AI: Machine Learning → Generative AI → Autonomous AI
Generative AI autonomously creates test cases based on user stories and specifications. Tricentis presents a demo: "Turn on the phone's battery saving mode." Testim executes the task on the iPhone without any further input.
- Autonomous AI: The entire testing process is performed autonomously. The only input required is the application name. This is still under development, and current problems include losing focus during testing. For example, the AI might wander aimlessly in a search window and never reach a conclusion. Testing the AI itself is also a challenge. Data quality plays a crucial role here, and the AI also improves with each iteration.
Customer Panel: How to successfully and quickly implement end-to-end quality assurance

Testing expertise is better managed within agile teams than centralized. A central testing team should see itself as a long-term point of contact for ad-hoc support or coaching.

Technical Deep Dive: Tosca and Tricentis Test Automation (TTA)

- TTA into a SaaS solution that offers limited functionality of Tosca, similar to Microsoft Word: There is a desktop version with full functionality and a web version with limited functionality.
- TTA's capabilities are constantly increasing. Execution agents already exist in the cloud, fully maintained by Tricentis.
Technical Deep Dive: Tricentis LiveCompare

Tricentis LiveCompare helps in evaluating which test cases best cover the business risk.
LiveCompare also offers a "Release Assurance" feature: It checks whether all dependencies have been taken into account during an installation. For example, it can assess whether a software change can be removed or added shortly before the release without causing a production problem.
Technical Deep Dive: Mobile Testing

- Estimate: How many mobile devices does the average person buy in their lifetime? It's 19.
How many people own a mobile device? How many hours do we spend on average on our smartphones?
Companies with a "mobile first" strategy are demonstrably more successful in the market.
- Note: Mobile testing is not "just" software testing; it's about testing how the software interacts with the device!

- Amazon says: a delay of 100 ms in purchasing goods reduces sales by 1%!
Last but not least, the Tricentis Roadshow is a social community event.
This offers an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with other customers, partners and the Tricentis team, to maintain and expand the network.
During the train journey from Zurich to Frankfurt and during the event itself, we were able to coordinate with our Tricentis Partner Manager, Michael Weiss, and intensify our collaboration.
