Quality management in a medical practice encompasses a multitude of work instructions, processes, and checklists to ensure that the practice team adheres to quality standards in the areas of medication, hygiene, equipment, and personnel. This report explains how we digitized this for our client QSMed.
Opening a medical practice presents various challenges. As its patients, we tacitly assume that all rules and standards will be met.
However, the necessary quality management is not a task that can be completed once. Rather, it involves recurring activities and checks, the correct execution of which is a mandatory prerequisite for compliance with legal requirements.
Our client QSMed supports dental and medical practices in meeting all requirements in a proactive and efficient manner.
In the past, a federal binder with work instructions and checklists, tailored to the specific needs of the customer, was developed for this purpose.
Through close collaboration, we have now succeeded in digitizing both the effort required to provide the tools and the execution of the necessary tasks to such an extent that not only was a massive time saving achieved, but also a simplification of the rather complex processes.
Instead of a traditional binder, a portal tailored to the customer's needs is now being built. Using Confluence as the content management system largely automates the initial setup effort, significantly reducing it. Thanks to the apps available in Confluence, the portal's functionality can be continuously expanded and adapted to specific customer requirements.
In addition to its efficient management of structured content, Confluence offers various options for automating workflows. These allow users not only to automate the triggering of regularly performed tasks, but also to accelerate the activities involved and to document them transparently for all stakeholders.
"I was extremely pleasantly surprised by how little effort and, above all, how easily my digitalization potential could be unlocked. As a result of this very pleasant collaboration, I am now also able to expand my solution independently."
Dr. Markus Fehr, QSMed
