We'd like to share something with you: At Infometis, all employees have the opportunity to choose a foundation to which a portion of the company's annual profits will be donated. Each year, we either select new organizations or continue with the ones we've chosen. This year, we've made an exciting selection, and we'd like to introduce these organizations to you:
- Brunau Foundation
is a local aid organization from Zurich that supports people with disabilities so they can be employed. One of our informants has a long-time school friend who works there as a caregiver. Thanks to this connection, we receive regular insights and learn how much our donations are appreciated. - City of God/Holy Bakhita NGO:
A passion project of Georg Kerkloh, a longtime friend of Infometin. In Accra, Ghana, he established a computer school for the NGO "Holy Bakhita" in the "City of God" slum. Our donation will help make the school less dependent on him personally and expand its services, for example, by hiring a local teacher. - association "Family-Help"
supports families and children in their development and mental health, especially refugee families in Switzerland. A friend of an Infomet employee is a co-founder of this association and is actively involved in supporting this vulnerable group. - ALD Charity
- A small Swiss organization that cares for people with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). A close colleague of an Infometen is on the board of the ALD charity, and her support directly benefits her friend who unfortunately suffers from this disease.
- of the organization "Little Lambs,"
are dedicated to establishing supervised daycare centers in the slums of Cape Town, South Africa. The wife of an information worker has known them for many years and has a personal connection to this inspiring organization. - Aphasie Suisse
supports people with aphasia, an acquired language disorder that occurs after brain damage. Our donation helps support those affected and professionals with advice, information, training, and networking opportunities. - Manu-Helping Favela Rocinha:
Manu from the Engadine region lives voluntarily in the Brazilian favelas and supports families in need. Her initiative, "Manu-Helping Favela Rocinha," enables us to distribute essential food to people in the poorest favelas of Rio de Janeiro. - Borderfree Association:
An organization that offers direct humanitarian aid to refugees. An informant knows the founder personally and has already been able to carry out humanitarian projects with her. - Amis des jeunes camerounais (Friends of Cameroon Young People
) supports an initiative in Cameroon that empowers young people and helps them achieve independence in young adulthood. A friend of one of the Infomets (a Cameroonian youth supporter) visited the children personally and was impressed by their positive progress. - Prisma Children's Church:
Prisma offers children the opportunity to play and have fun, regardless of denomination or religious background. The wife of an information officer is the area manager and is delighted with the support for the children's program in Archaeland and Beetleland. - Höfli
Foundation promotes the professional and social integration of young people with learning disabilities. With our donation, we are helping to offer initial vocational training in 10 different professions and enabling these young people to integrate independently into society. - Basmati
– authentic help is a Swiss NGO that supports various local aid projects in Southeast Asia, primarily in Cambodia, Laos, and Malaysia. Their current project is "IT for Laos." They collect decommissioned computers and peripherals from Switzerland and send them to Laos with the goal of providing every school in Laos with access to IT. They officially collaborate with the Laotian government. An informant knows one of the co-founders personally.
We are proud that Infomet employees have chosen these fantastic organizations through their personal connections and relationships. It shows us how much good we can achieve together when we work for the well-being of others.
Thanks to this fundraising journey around the world, we can make a difference and support people in need. We are excited to see how these wonderful projects develop and look forward to supporting them for many years to come!
