How synthetic testing is changing the future of quality assurance
On June 3, 2025, experts from banking, quality engineering, and automation met in Zurich for the Avaloq Testing Forum 2025. The event was hosted by Infometis, together with LGT Bank, an innovation leader in Avaloq test automation.
The event impressively demonstrated that automated testing with synthetic test data is not only a reality, but essential for modern financial service providers.
Insights into practice: LGT Case Study on synthetic test automation
LGT presented its testing strategy, in which over 4,500 automated Avaloq test cases are executed in a multi-stage framework:
- Test data generation with PL/SQL & Avaloq Script
- Management via a custom-developed Test Data Management (TDM) system
- Version with Tricentis Tosca and UiPath
- Reporting & verification via DEX & Test Manager
One particularly impressive figure: 80% of automated test cases run successfully within the first four hours – a result of consistent automation and synthetic data strategies.
TAMI & TACC – the tools for scalable test automation
Infometis then presented the current versions of TAMI 2.5 and TACC 1.3 :
- TAMI 2.5 brings new security features (password protection, auth token support), intelligent SECPOS offsetting entries and direct integration with Apwide GoLive.
- TACC 1.3 fully automates module creation and is optimized for Tosca 2024.x.
The outlook for TAMI 2.6 and TACC 1.4 at the end of June promises further innovations – including a new UiPath Avaloq Library+, which makes Avaloq even more efficiently controllable via UiPath.
Together with LGT into the future: AgentHack 2025
A highlight of the event was the announcement: Infometis and LGT will be jointly participating in UiPath AgentHack 2025.Under the project name Avalon, we are developing the next generation of test data management – based on generative AI and intelligent software agents.
What is Avalon?
Avalon is an agentic testing approachwhere so-called AI agents autonomously generate synthetic test data using contextual knowledge, voice input, and business objectives. The focus is on:
- Business prompts such as: "Generate a Swiss customer with $100,000 for a STEX transaction"
- Automatic detection of which data objects are required (BP, ACC, PERS, etc.)
- Full integration with Jira, Test Manager and Maestro (BPM approach)
The advantages:
- 50% efficiency gain in test data creation
- Higher release frequency
- Reduction of manual test preparation
- Agentic Testing Center of Excellence as a vision

STAMINA: The next step
The forum concluded with the presentation of STAMINA (Synthetic Testdata Avaloq Migration Importer) – a new Infometis solution for CI/CD-compatible test data generation based on YAML/JSON. It is fully compatible with Avaloq, Tosca, and UiPath, and designed for maximum flexibility.
