• Definition, meaning and benefits of digital accessibility
• Overview of legal and regulatory frameworks (e.g. WCAG 2.1, BITV, EU directives)

2. User groups & barriers

• Overview of types of disabilities and their impact on the use of digital products
• Typical barriers and problem areas (web, apps, software)

3. Accessibility by Design

• Integrating accessibility into the entire development process (“Shift Left”)
• Practical design principles and best practices

• Manual and automated testing methods
• Selection and use of suitable tools
• Examples of accessibility tests

5. Accessibility in the company

• Accessibility as a strategic goal: Benefits, business case and change management
• Anchoring accessibility in projects and organizations

6. Exam preparation

• Overview of certification and exam content
• Sample questions and tips for successfully passing the A4Q DA-FL exam

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of IT or software development is helpful, but not a requirement
