ISTQB Certified Tester – Testing with Generative AI

Ready for the next generation of software testing?

Generative AI such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, or Copilot presents quality assurance with entirely new opportunities and challenges. Traditional testing methods quickly reach their limits here, as models react non-deterministically, probabilistically, and are prone to bias.

In this intensive training, you will learn how to use Generative AI effectively and methodically in the testing process, from automated test case design and the generation of realistic test data to the application of metamorphic testing. You will gain a solid overview of architectural principles (e.g., transformers, diffusion models), typical error patterns (hallucinations, biases, mode collapses), and learn strategies for handling uncertainties in testing.

Practical exercises with ChatGPT and other LLMs form a central part of the course. Bring your own laptop with access to ChatGPT to develop prompts, generate test scripts, and create realistic test data.

This course provides you with technical and methodological skills as well as regulatory, ethical, and organizational foundations (AI Act, ISO, NIST). This will prepare you to responsibly integrate Generative AI into your testing strategy – and to successfully complete the ISTQB® CT-GenAI certification.
