Retrospective Workshop: Time to Improve

Retrospective Workshop: Time to Improve

Only those who understand yesterday can ensure that tomorrow will be better.

Retrospectives are a key aspect of continuous improvement. Essentially, they are team meetings aimed at learning from the past. Participants review their collaboration over the past period, evaluating both what went well and the obstacles and challenges that arose. The team then analyzes the reasons for both successes and difficulties. This allows them to understand the root causes, take corrective action, and achieve genuine improvements, rather than merely treating the symptoms.

Advantages of retrospectives:
  • Potential for optimization in team processes is identified in order to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • The team members communicate extensively. This reduces latent conflicts and fosters team building. In the retrospective, the team also addresses critical issues and begins to actively resolve them.
  • Obstacles in processes and procedures are made transparent to the team and the organization.
